Volunteer Spotlight – Meet Myrna

By April 2, 2018Blog

Myrna Barrera began volunteering with us in July 2017, using her graphic design skills for our emails and other marketing materials. She’s transformed our design signature, optimizing efficiency and increasing the visual impact of our communications.

When she moved to Sacramento in January 2017, Myrna wanted to find ways to connect with other marketers in the area. When she saw the call for volunteers, she jumped at the chance to challenge herself, gain experience, and meet new people.

A QuestBridge scholar and graduate of Washington and Lee University, Myrna is inspired by her parents’ immigration to the U.S. from Mexico, and treasures her family’s heritage and history. She’s currently employed at the University of the Pacific, where she coordinates marketing efforts including e-communications, designs program materials, and web design for the graduate school.

Thank you for sharing your skills with us, Myrna! We are grateful for all you do. Be sure to say hello to her at one of our upcoming events.
