About the Event

In this interactive session we’ll look at how you can work with your agency vendors to get the best possible results for you, your business, and your vendor relationship.

Daniel Dorr worked closely with some of the largest global agencies at Hewlett Packard and Procter & Gamble, as well as local agencies from his time at startups. He has sourced new vendors, turned around struggling relationships and achieved best-in-class results with vendors for over 20 years.

In this session we’ll discuss some of the most common problems working with agencies and what you can do to turn things around. We’ll review case studies from HP, P&G, Vail Resorts and even a few startups.

This will be an interactive session, so please bring your questions and ideas.

Key topics we’ll cover include:

• Finding the best agency to help you achieve your goals

• Common problems between customers and agencies

• Roles and expectations for both vendor and customer

• Making sure your vendor is focused on the right direction

• Providing clear feedback so your vendor hears you

Daniel Dorr is currently SVP of Marketing for a local Sacramento startup that couldn’t survive without a productive and positive agency partner. Earlier in his career he got his formal marketing and agency training at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and as a part of Procter & Gamble’s brand marketing team. In addition, he was Director of Marketing for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Sr. Director of Marketing for Vail Resorts.

In all of these roles he was responsible for sourcing agencies and working with vendors for market research, campaign strategy, creative development and program execution.
