Meagan is the marketing communications manager for TechnipFMC, a leading manufacturer and service provider to the oil and gas industry. She focuses her time developing relationships to better understand and connect with her audiences through integrated digital marketing programs. She has spent nearly two decades focused on tailoring the customer experience through marketing for the telecommunications, real estate, and energy industries. She is excited to be a part of the heightening the breadth of AMASV’s initiatives in our region. She has a bachelor’s degree in business management and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in strategic communications.
VP of Collegiate Relations
Brian is an assistant professor of marketing at California State University Sacramento and is excited to serve as the vice president of collegiate relations for AMASV, as well as the faculty adviser to the AMA Student Club at Sacramento State. A native Californian, Brian completed his Ph.D. in marketing at Michigan State University and is excited to be helping to educate our area’s future professionals.
VP at Large
Tom is a Sacramento-area-based marketing and branding leader in higher education. He has expertise across the marketing portfolio, including brand and integrated marketing strategy, research and measurement, advertising, digital marketing, and other areas. He became involved in the AMASV Board in 2014, inspired by a luncheon he attended on Marketing to Hispanics that led to a successful partnership. He has a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in higher education leadership.
VP of Communication
Melissa is the administrative specialist at Finance of America, a subsidiary of The Blackstone Group, a leading global asset manager. She is passionate about building productive relationships with clients, partners, and team members across multiple fields. With over six years’ experience working in sales and business, she is excited to put her talents to use assisting AMASV as the VP of communication. She has served on the Board with AMASV since 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in business management from California State University Sacramento with an emphasis in Marketing.
VP of Records
Stephanie is the vice president of records for AMASV and supports the communications team in multiple aspects since 2017. As a Chapter VP and president of the collegiate chapter at Syracuse University, she was excited to continue with the Sacramento Professional Chapter upon relocating here. She is excited to learn about the local marketing community network with the Chapter’s marketing professionals. She has dual bachelor’s degrees in marketing management and business management from Syracuse University.
Desiree “Sunshine” Bertolani
VP of Event Operations
Desiree Bertolani, known by most as Sunshine, is a native Sacramentan. Sunshine has a background in online advertising for local media companies and is now the digital marketing manager of Quick Quack Car Wash. Her love for technology, continual growth and data naturally drove her toward Digital Marketing. She is excited to see how technological marketing has, and will, become in the future. She was encouraged by her co-workers and friends to get more involved with the AMASV and is excited to see the Chapter grow. She studied mass media communications at California State University Sacramento.
Director of Social Media
Jamie is a marketing advisor for The Dentist Service Company, a subsidiary of the California Dental Association, that solely focused on helping its members navigate the business side of dentistry. She develops and implements custom marketing plans aligned with the goals of each client. She has over ten years of experience in advertising and is dedicated to all areas of branding and marketing, including strategy, analysis, demographic research, planning, and reporting. She believes that success is best achieved with a team. Support, participation, and feedback from others is essential to the success of her marketing strategies. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications.
VP of Finance
Joe is the controller for Quick Quack Car Wash and a long-time supporter of AMA. Serving on the Board of Directors for Sacramento Valley since 2009, he sets the budget and financial success of the Chapter by collaborating with the leadership team on best practices. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University Sacramento.
VP of Membership
Bobby, owner and CEO of Capitol Tech Solutions, has expertise in online marketing solutions and software development. His company today focuses on all things digital, including marketing, software consulting, web applications, mobile application development, and energy efficiency applications based on the cloud infrastructure. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2016 and is passionate about connecting our members with the best tools and events for their interest areas. He graduated from MIT with a degree in computer science in 2002, where he focused his studies on emerging web technologies.
VP at Large
As Partner and CMO of Quick Quack Car Wash, Travis is responsible for building and managing the brand and overseeing all marketing and advertising objectives for the growing chain of more than thirty car washes in four states. In addition to an MBA (Brigham Young University, 2001), he has an undergraduate degree in communications (Brigham Young University, 1996).
