Sacramento’s Marketing Organization

The Sacramento Valley chapter of the American Marketing Association is the only professional organization in the area dedicated to the complete spectrum of marketing practices. Through monthly events, it brings together professionals who learn new knowledge and practices from local leaders and peers. Leadership opportunities in the organization offer volunteers new knowledge and skills, and connections in the Sacramento marketing scene. Job postings match local employers to marketing professionals. And membership provides access to all the national AMA resources as well as discounts to local and national events.

In addition, AMASV helps to cultivate new leaders by proudly partnering with the official collegiate chapter of Sacramento State University.

Paul Johnson


Figuring out what customers and markets want has been a longtime interest for Paul. Whether it’s helping customers understand their markets, building and launching new products or crafting a message that will resound with customers, Paul knows the key is to include the customer. He is Owner of Zero to Sixty Marketing and President of AMASV, two places where he uses his customer-focus.

Brian Baldus

Vice President of Collegiate Relations

Dr. Brian Baldus is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Sacramento State and is excited to serve as the VP of Collegiate Relations for AMASV as well as the faculty advisor to the AMA Student Club at Sacramento State.  A native Californian, Brian completed his Ph.D. in marketing at Michigan State University and is excited to be back in California.

Travis Kimball

Vice President of Records

As Partner and CMO of Quick Quack Car Wash, Travis is responsible for building and managing the brand and overseeing all marketing and advertising objectives for the growing chain of more than thirty car washes in four states. In addition to an MBA (Brigham Young University, 2001), he has an undergraduate degree in communications (Brigham Young University, 1996).

Meagan Douglas

Director of Social Media

Meagan focuses her time developing relationships throughout the Sacramento region and global industries in order to connect with her audiences. She has spent nearly two decades focused on tailoring the customer experience through marketing for the telecommunications, real estate, and energy industries. She is excited to be a part of the AMASV and the social media initiative for our region. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Strategic Communications.

Bobby Reed

Vice President of Membership

Bobby Reed, owner and CEO of Capitol Tech Solutions, is an entrepreneur and business owner with an expertise in Online Marketing Solutions and Software Development. Bobby started his business shortly after graduating from MIT with a degree in Computer Science in 2002, where he focused his studies on emerging web technologies. CTS today focuses on all things digital, including marketing, software consulting, web applications, mobile application development, and energy efficiency applications based on the cloud infrastructure. Bobby was born and raised in El Dorado County, CA, and now lives in Sacramento with his wife Erin and sons Eli and Isaac.

Melissa Fix

Vice President of Communications

Melissa Fix is passionate about building productive relationships with clients, partners, and team members in the marketing field. A native of San Diego, she studied business and social behavior science at Palomar College in San Marcos, receiving two associates degrees. She recently finished her higher education at California State University, Sacramento receiving her bachelor’s of science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.

Megan Annis

Immediate Past President

With over 12 years experience in marketing, business development and operations leadership, Megan is passionate for all things marketing. From nurturing relationships with clients when she worked on the agency side to developing patient acquisition and retention campaigns on the in-house side, she enjoys creating a seamless consumer experience and finding new ways to reach customers. Megan has served on the AMASV board of directors since 2012.
